One Bad Dowload to Wreck 'em All . . .

Six hours and ten minutes past Ideal Time (out of the shower by 8 AM) . . .

Well, I nearly wrecked my computers with non-critical downloads from Microsoft Update, but fixed most of the damage. Part of the remaining damage includes my laptop (where I do this blog from), whose Wi-Fi abilities have been severely damaged; I'm doing this with a Cat-5 cable. As of tomorrow, I'll be further unable to input, as she'll be getting repaired; time or return is hard to tell, maybe a couple of days, maybe weeks . . .

Good Sleep, Good(ish) Charlotte . . .

Six and a quarter hours past Ideal Time . . .

In spite of the late time, the explanation means good results for me! I forced myself to bed early last night, foregoing a lot for this morning; as messy as the morning was, I got a very good night's sleep, and got a reminder of what waking up early is like! How well this worked will be determined by when I wake up tomorrow.

Took Charlotte to the vet; while she seems fine overall, the mysterious bloody pee continues to perplex, oh well . . .

Four hours and twenty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Even with a much-needed bank visit, followed by a quick trip to the supermarket, I'm trying to keep things short, as try to get to bed early; a major malfunction from my main computer is not helping . . .

Monday It Is . . .

Seven hours and ten minutes past Ideal Time (out of the shower by 8 AM) . . .

Another late day, another late Monday, some adjustments to one of my surfed sites; not much to speak of . . .

Thanks to Comics.com, one more adjustment means I'll be ideally going to bed by as soon as 9 PM; yup, "Aiming for 9" . . .

Beyond Impossible! (in a good way!)

Four hours and forty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Got a quick visit from my cousin Diana this morning; it'd been a bit of a while, and it was nice seeing her again. Her big news was taking part in the NY Marathon; yes, that's her article, yes, she's a reporter for El Comercio; it's nice to have family in high places!

For all the delays today, I finished watching a really good show, and that's what matters now!

While I'm still a big fan of Evangelion, here are some things I learned from watching Gurren Lagann:

- Gainax is one of - if not the - best animation studio in the world.
- In science fiction and animation, there is no such thing as too ridiculously big.
- There is no such thing TV Trope overload.
- Uttering "Are you f'ing kidding me?!" too many times in a battle sequence is a good thing!
- With enough determination, nothing's impossible, not even beating a god!

So anyway . . . : )

Six hours and ten minutes past Ideal Time (out of the shower past 8 AM) . . .

Yup, looks like a recovery week, aiming for early bed Friday; hope for next week, I guess . . .

Su- . . . Sunday . . .

Well, the day got off to an unusually late start, and a suddenly slow main computer is not helping. It's also strangely windy outside, yet another sign of the changing seasons, and the chilling weather.

Yeah, it looks like Monday will be the start of a recovery week; of course, it all depends on how the day starts.

On the TNA PPV: wow, I think I may have just seen a 5-Star match! Looks like there's still something left in Kurt Angle.

So . . . Friday . . .

Three hours and thirty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Well, the recovery from this week's Nasty Monday continues; let's see how well the weekend goes, especially if I can make to bed in time. The TNA PPV won't help, even if it's fun; hmmm, that's getting too familiar . . .

At least the exercise is returning to the usual pace.

Slowly Getting Back . . .

Four hours and twenty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Honestly, not much to talk about; after such an eventful Tuesday, it's hard to follow with just about anything. Oh well, sometimes boring is good.

Time is short today, yet when I do have time, I'll elaborate on smaller and smaller details - like what comics I read, or what I watch on TV - that will probably better illuminate my overall life.

Six hours and six minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Not much to say, I'm just trying to get the day over with; yesterday was more than enough!

I did return a used HP printer cartridge, right after the latest Verdugo appointment . . .

The comics.com catch-up is now part of the routine, and should be done with in about two weeks.

Correcting Experimenting; V(ote)-Day!

Seven hours and forty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

I tried way more than I could handle with my forced comics.com catching up, and I paid the price for it this morning. Tomorrow morning should be . . . interesting.

Oh yeah, the lateness of this post allows me to do this thing I'd been planning to do tomorrow . . .:

PRESIDENT OBAMA! PRESIDENT OBAMA!

The only question now: landslide? Tune in tomorrow!

Relating to this: I'll now point out the big reason I aim for 45 push ups certain mornings:
that is one of the requirements to pass Air Force boot camp. Some time in the next two years, strengthened by the results of the election, I will join the United States Air Force Reserve; full-time teaching is still my goal, but this will be my big "side hobby." Of course, this is not a set-in-stone decision, but a 90% chance of follow-through seems about right.

It seems Google is doing a restructuring/maintenance of some sort, so no posts until it's clear how that will go.

Cleaning up . . . again apparently; T-Minus 1 Day . . .

Seven and a half hours past Ideal Time (out of the shower by 8 AM) . . .

I actually got up pretty early today, but . . .:

- Finishing synchronizing my various time pieces after this Daylight Saving Time weekend.
- Preparing for that final catch-up on the Comics.com update, which should continue into tonight.

. . . slowed me down. Next week, especially without the aforementioned and the Election, things should get very interesting. A TNA PP
V this weekend could be a potential monkey wrench in the works, though.

Hacking Life, and Setting the Record Straight; T-Minus 2 Days . . .

Weird morning, with things complicated by Daylight Saving Time ending at 2 AM (and the clock-setting it merits), followed by unnecessary "upgrading" at Comics.com, a little replaying of Civ IV last night, and an unusual breakfast stop. Things have followed through well enough anyway.

Since this might become popular, whether I'm believed or not, I'm the one who started this
, right here; maybe not exactly as its exact, refined, final state, but I got the ball rolling:

"
Socialism is Hugo Chavez nationalizing Venezuela's oil industry; socialism is Salvador Allende nationalizing Chile's copper industry; socialism is Mohammed Mossadegh nationalizing Iran's oil industry; socialism is Guatemala confiscating United Fruit Company's plantations and distributing their land amongst peasant farmers. Socialism is not higher taxes, much less mildly higher taxes, no matter what the excuses or whining."

Even if others take credit for it, what matter is it got around, maybe even viral!

Along those lines, Opie Cunningham, Sheriff Andy Taylor, and The Fonz all say, Yes We Can!:
