One Bad Dowload to Wreck 'em All . . .

Six hours and ten minutes past Ideal Time (out of the shower by 8 AM) . . .

Well, I nearly wrecked my computers with non-critical downloads from Microsoft Update, but fixed most of the damage. Part of the remaining damage includes my laptop (where I do this blog from), whose Wi-Fi abilities have been severely damaged; I'm doing this with a Cat-5 cable. As of tomorrow, I'll be further unable to input, as she'll be getting repaired; time or return is hard to tell, maybe a couple of days, maybe weeks . . .

Futility Inc. . . .

Four hours and forty minutes past Ideal Time . . .

This was the kind of day that tries me; after a lot of emo, I'm feeling a lot better now. I'm aware I'm going to bed late today, making an early get up tomorrow unlikely. The week, a week with great potential is ruined; oh well . . . Who knows, I might actually get something done tomorrow if I'm pessimistic enough; this week is what happens when I look forward to something. It never fails, the moment I look forward to/get optimistic about something, it becomes a guaranteed failure; I'm aware of how badly this bodes for my future, but I guess for some of us that's just the way it is; I literally can't afford to be confident.

Yes, I'm aware confidence is the most important thing women look for in men; yes, I have accepted I will spend the rest of my life in solitude, though, for someone as anti-social as me, that's actually a very good thing; yes, sexual satifaction will involve heavy use of my right hand, and possibly lots of money for good ol' legal prostitutes in Nevada.

Enough self-pity, back to the rest of my daily life . . . not much to say, really . . .

Busy Day, Messy Day . . .

Two hours and forty-five minutes past Ideal Time . . .

Well, on a day I needed to get up early, I had to deal with a surprisingly late night, a boulder morning, and a few mistakes where I should have known better. I still made the dental appointment, if a bit late; then made the Verdugo Clinic appointment later in the day. Now to see if I can finish this day better than yesterday. The latest iTunes update won't help; at least the next two weeks are clear . . .

No, Seriously . . .

Three hours and twenty minutes past Ideal Time; and in the tradition of . . . my life, everything that can go wrong does on a day I don't need it to.

Seriously, on a day that I had a once in weeks medical appointment; on a day which I had to be in a hurry, the things that could mess up just as I hurry things up a little lead the way to the mess-up. An OS update for XP, so instead of Stand-by, my computer turns off . . . with six programs running. Then, months after the "definitive, final update," Civ IV: Beyond the Sword downloads an update . . . a huge one (~128MB) . . . Well, day's almost over, that's all I'll say. Did I mention my appointment was canceled, and is now in July?
